The 2026 edition of Tango for Musicians at Reed College will take place from June 21-28, 2026 in Portland, Oregon.
BOARD AND ACCOMODATION
Accommodation and meals may be purchased for an additional fee.
Accommodation
During Tango for Musicians at Reed College 2026, participants may stay for seven nights in Reed College residence halls, from June 21 to June 28, 2026.
Check-in takes place on June 21 between 3:00–6:00 p.m., and check-out is on June 28 by 11:00 a.m. Early arrivals may be arranged only by special request, and on-campus housing is not available after June 28.
Each participant receives a private dorm room with shared restroom and shower facilities. Residence halls feature comfortable common spaces, social rooms, and full or partial kitchens. All buildings offer Wi-Fi, secure swipe-card access, and individual room key entry. Rooms include a bed, desk and chair, dresser, and closet or wardrobe. A linen packet is provided for every guest.
Please note: most residence halls do not have air conditioning. A limited number of small fans may be rented depending on availability. Pets are not allowed.
The residence halls are accessible for guests with disabilities. If you have any special housing needs, please contact us so we can assist you.
Meal Plan
The meal plan includes three meals a day at Reed College’s locally sourced, sustainability-focused campus restaurant. Service begins with dinner on June 21, 2026 and ends with breakfast on June 28, 2026.
Participants are also welcome to arrange meals independently and may purchase food directly from the campus restaurant at any time.

Do I need to speak Spanish?
No. All activities are conducted in English, and our bilingual faculty can assist if needed.
Can I join if I’ve never played tango before?
Absolutely! The Community Orchestra program is designed for all musical levels.
Do I need to bring my instrument?
Yes, please bring your own instrument and any accessories you usually use.
Do I need to pay an extra fee to participate in the Arrangers and Composers program?
No, the registration fee covers access to all activities. However, you do have to apply to the Arrangers and Composers program.
Can I attend without staying on campus?
Yes. Commuter options are available, though we recommend the on-campus stay for the full community experience.
