ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Guillermo Rubino

Since 2009 he has been first violin and strings instructor at the Orquesta Escuela Emilio Balcarce, the most prestigious tango orchestra program in Argentina. He is also the strings teacher for the famous intensive training program "Tango For Musicians". He is one of the founding members of the Diego Schissi Quintet, and was first violin of the Orquesta El Arranque from 2005 to 2014. With these groups he recorded numerous albums and toured extensively in Europe and the United States. He is founder and director of SurdelSur Ensemble, a string ensemble dedicated to performing original music by contemporary Argentine composers. He is concertmaster of the Orquesta Sin Fin, and as a classical violinist, he was part of the Orquesta Estable del Teatro Argentino de la Plata and the Mayo.
